Moses Muyambi, deputy resident city commissioner for Hoima East Division, who led the delegation of local leaders, said the visit aimed to provide stakeholders with a better understanding of the project's progress.

Some of the leaders expressed satisfaction with the ongoing work and urged residents to prepare to take advantage of the opportunities the stadium would bring.

Several LC1 chairpersons said they were pleased to find their constituents employed at the site and contributing to the development.

The multipurpose stadium will have a seating capacity of 20,000 and is one of the three venues Uganda will use during the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be jointly hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
