Museveni orders action on electricity, PDM issues in Kiryandongo

The Presidential Candidate of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and also the incumbent, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has instructed the Prime Minister to implement high voltage electricity transmission in Kiryandongo District to enhance the current power supply across the district.

Museveni noted that the developments in the electricity sector are aligned to reach all homesteads and has guided on the further implementation of the initiative to support wealth creation and production.

Museveni made the remarks during his campaign rally at Karaganya Grounds in Kiryandongo District on Wednesday morning, December 10, 2025.



During the rally, Museveni registered complaints from Kiryandongo residents about the implementation of the Parish Development Model Initiative in their district and ordered the line minister for local government, Raphael Magyezi and the PDM secretariat to intervene.



The NRM 2nd National Vice Chairperson, Anita Among, commended President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for developments in refugee-hosting areas in Kiryandongo District under the Development Response to Displacement Impact Project - DRDIP and other developments in the district.
