Besigye agreed to kill Museveni with a drone strike — witness

The witness, an American national, said Wakhaima and Besigye agreed to kill President Museveni with a drone strike and that they had people in State House providing them with details of President Museveni’s movements. Whereas Wakhaima wanted to take credit for the drone strike, the former four-time presidential candidate (Besigye) argued that it would be better if the drone strike was attributed to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).

Besigye is charged with treason and misprision of treason alongside his aide, Obeid Lutale and Capt. Denish Oyaa Oola of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces.
