Besigye treason case: American recounts alleged plan to use poison, explosives
The witness said that one of Besigye's ideas was to rent a kiosk next to one of the roads the President uses to move and improvise explosives, detonate the explosive as the President (Museveni) passed by, and that a photo was provided [from] within State House of the President jogging by contacts within State House.
Besigye is jointly charged with treason and misprision of treason alongside his aide, Obeid Lutale and Capt. Denis Oyaa Oola of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces, who is attached to the Armoured Brigade.
