URA FC and KCCA FC will be looking to revive their Uganda Premier League (UPL) campaigns when they face off under the floodlights at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo today.
Both sides have endured difficult starts to the 2026/27 season, making the encounter an important opportunity to collect valuable points and build momentum.
URA have played three matches, winning one and losing two. Their most recent outing ended in a heavy 4-1 defeat to NEC FC at Omondi Stadium Lugogo before the international break.
KCCA, meanwhile, have four points from their opening four matches, having recorded one win, one draw and two defeats.
The Kasasiro Boys started the season with back-to-back defeats to NEC and Express before drawing 1-1 with Kigezi HomeBoyz.
They finally secured their first victory by beating league debutants Kataka at Lugogo in their last game before the international break.
KCCA will now be seeking consecutive victories as they attempt to build momentum and climb the table.
The slow start has increased pressure on head coach Brian Ssenyondo, who will be hoping that another victory can ease some of the scrutiny surrounding his team.
URA coach Jimmy Kintu is also under pressure to deliver improved results after taking charge of the club with a strong reputation following his successful short spell at Express.
The Tax Collectors will hope home advantage can help them return to winning ways, but KCCA will arrive with renewed confidence after their first victory of the season.
Earlier in the day, Entebbe UPPC will host Police FC in another fixture.
The match will see Entebbe UPPC coach Abdallah Mubiru face his former side. The two sides are level on seven points from four matches, with each recording two victories, one draw and one defeat.
Mubiru will therefore be keen to claim bragging rights against his former employers while helping Entebbe UPPC maintain their strong start to the campaign.
