KCCA take unbeaten run into Prisons clash as Netball Super League resumes

The Netball Super League returns this Saturday at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, with defending champions KCCA set to take on Prisons in one of the day’s highly anticipated fixtures.

KCCA head into the encounter unbeaten and determined to maintain their impressive run as they pursue another league title.

However, they face a Prisons side eager to bounce back after suffering a narrow 46-45 defeat to UCU last weekend.

Despite the challenge posed by their opponents, KCCA head coach Fred Mugerwa remains confident in his team’s approach, insisting that the champions are focused on taking each game as it comes rather than being distracted by their unbeaten status.

“Prisons is a good team; however, we are not afraid. Our goal this season is simple: play our best and win each game,” Mugerwa said.

KCCA will be looking to build on their strong start to the campaign and demonstrate the consistency that has made them one of the teams to beat. A victory on Saturday would further strengthen their position as they seek to defend the crown.

For Prisons, the fixture presents an opportunity to respond positively to last weekend’s heartbreaking loss and prove their ability to compete against the league’s leading sides.

Prisons head coach Nouredine Kato says his players remain in good spirits and are working to improve on their previous performance ahead of the crucial contest.

“The team is in good spirit, and we are ready to do our best come Saturday,” Kato said.

With KCCA seeking to preserve their unbeaten record and Prisons aiming to return to winning ways, the stage is set for an intriguing contest at Hamz Stadium.
