Platinum Heathens Rugby Club suffered their first home defeat of the season, just a week after showing their strength by defeating the 2025 league champions Pirates at Kyadondo Grounds.
Heathens fell 12-7 to Toyota Buffaloes, a team they once groomed through the ranks, in a match played under slippery conditions following a heavy downpour.
Heathens excited their fans in the 5th minute when Aaron Wanyoto crossed for a try that was successfully converted by Malcolm Okello to give the hosts an early 7-0 lead.

Buffaloes players celebrate winning Heatehens in the league encounter Mar 7 at Kyadongo. Buffaloes won 12-07.
Heathens also suffered a major setback with injuries in the first half. Backline player Mathew Musasizi was forced off the pitch on crutches, while Aaron Ofwoywroth sustained a shoulder injury.
Heathens captain Norbert Okeny admitted the defeat but remained optimistic ahead of their next game against Victoria Sharks.
“We played well, but it was unfortunate to lose our second game of the season and the first at home,” said Okeny.
Buffaloes senior player Hector Twinomugisha credited the victory to proper preparation.
