When Museveni won first election

In his victory message, Museveni spoke with the confidence of a man who had fought and won twice. “We defeated them by bullet in 1986 and by ballot in 1996,” he declared to cheering crowds. “This is not the end. It is the beginning of a new Uganda where every citizen feels part of the Government.”
