When Uganda Airlines flight 775 crashed

The Boeing clipped the roof of a house about 1,300 metres short of the runway and 100 metres off to the right. It then slammed into another building 85 metres away, breaking apart and erupting in flames. The wreckage skidded across a highway, igniting over 100 cars in a parking lot and scattering debris over 25km.

Uganda Airlines Flight 775 was a Boeing 707-338C, registration 5X-UBC, that crashed while attempting to land at Rome-Fiumicino Airport in Rome, Italy on October 17, 1988.
