Outspoken Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda (Kira Municipality), whose parliamentary journey also stretched for 15 years, was also ejected by voters. Ssemujju had built a reputation as one of the sharpest debaters, known for his mastery of parliamentary procedure and relentless criticism of government policy. Whether during budget debates, security discussions or accountability sessions, Ssemujju rarely stayed silent.
From fiery accountability sessions to heated plenary debates and headline making political battles, many of the legislators who dominated the 11th Parliament will not be returning to the chamber when the new House convenes on May 25.
