KAKUMIRO - Uganda will host the United Kingdom Trade, Investment, and Tourism delegation next month.
This was revealed by Nimisha Madhvani, Uganda’s high commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and Ambassador to Ireland, while meeting the Prime Minister of Uganda, Robinah Nabbanja.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s country home in Kakumiro district on Tuesday, January 20th.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister, this is a follow-up on Nabbanja's working trip to the United Kingdom in October last year, where she met a huge delegation of Westminster Africa Business Association in London.
“Reference is made to your letter inviting Andrew Rosindell, MP, House of Commons, UK, together with the business delegation you met during your visit to the United Kingdom in October 2025. I’m glad to inform you that they have confirmed to visit Uganda in a letter dated 19th Jan 2026, signed by Lawrence Robertson, Chief Executive, Westminster Africa Business Association Ltd.” Madhvani briefed the Prime Minister.
The visit comes at a particularly important time for Uganda’s economic and political advancement and will further demonstrate international confidence in Uganda as a safe and attractive destination for investment and tourism.
The delegation is scheduled to arrive in Uganda on February 16, 2026.
Her press team reports that Nabbanja thanked Madhvani for promoting business diplomacy in the longtime ally Uganda, the United Kingdom of Great Britain.
