Judiciary to improve plea bargain access in prisons

The criminal division is responsible for hearing all serious criminal offences referred to it by the Magistrates' Courts.

The staff of the Criminal Division of the High Court of Uganda have agreed that lists of pending cases before each judge be shared with Prison authorities through the prison liaison officers to enable those willing to plea bargain to register. (Courtesy Phoo)t
