King Saha, Beer Spice Up UBPA All-Star Fiesta

Basketball, music, fashion, food and drinks turned MTN Arena, Lugogo, into a fiesta as the UBPA All-Star Fiesta 2026 brought Kampala’s social crowd together.

Organised by the Uganda Basketball Players Association (UBPA), led by president Paul Odong, the event marked Uganda’s first domestic All-Star basketball showcase since 2019 drawing players, former stars, club supporters and entertainment lovers for a day of competition and socialising.

King Saha stole part of the spotlight with a surprise performance of his hit Wewe, sending fans into song and briefly shifting attention from the court.

Beyond the music, fans enjoyed live deejays, fashion merchandise, beer, cocktails and roasted meat. A children’s play area also catered  for  families.

On court, National Basketball League stars, including Uganda Silverbacks captain Tonny Drileba, showcased their skills. A one-on-one tournament and three-point shooting contest added to the action.

Beyond entertainment, the fiesta championed player welfare, career development and breast cancer awareness under the theme After the Buzzer, Life Beyond the Court.

With sport and entertainment sharing the spotlight, the event showed how basketball can bring together fans, music lovers and Kampala’s social crowd.
