Singer and former manager of the Radio and Weasel duo Geoffrey Kyagambiddwa (Chagga) has dismissed speculation surrounding his return from the United Kingdom, insisting that he has not broken any laws that would warrant his deportation and is determined to return to London.

Chagga argued that unlike many deportees who return home with little or nothing, his circumstances are different. He maintained that he enjoys protection from some white people in the UK, whom he believes have supported him during his stay.

“I’m protected by those whites,” he said.

However, Chagga admitted that his journey in the UK did not begin as smoothly as he had anticipated.

He claimed that the people who were supposed to pick him up at the airport failed to show up because they wanted him to seek asylum from the authorities, an option he was unwilling to pursue.

“I found good and bad people there, and things were hard at first because even the people who were supposed to pick me up from the airport did not come. They wanted me to seek asylum from the authorities, but I did not want that,” he explained.

Chagga said he eventually found a way out of the airport and began navigating life in the UK on his own.

Despite the challenges, the singer insists that his British dream is far from over. He says he intends to return to London to pursue opportunities that could improve his circumstances.

His remarks come amid speculation about his return to Uganda, with Chagga maintaining that he has no reason to abandon his ambitions in the UK.
