Carol Nantongo has weighed in on rumours of domestic violence in her marriage to husband Dylan, making it clear that what happens in their home is their private business.

Speaking to journalists, the singer referred to Dylan as her husband and said she remains submissive to him, insisting that marital issues should be handled privately.

“It’s not bad if he beats me,” she said — a statement that has raised eyebrows and sparked debate about what exactly goes on behind closed doors.

Carol also took a swipe at the popular relationship advice that people should marry their best friends.

According to her, even your best friend can change into someone you never expected. In other words, the person who once helped you hide from trouble might eventually become the trouble you’re hiding from

“Men change all the time, unlike us women, so there’s no science to love,” she said.

The singer revealed that she and Dylan have been together for nine years and they prefer to discuss disagreements after calming down instead of shouting at each other.

“We don’t shout at each other; we talk when we have calmed down. There’s no marriage that doesn’t have issues. Don’t accept to be deceived. We aren’t angels; all humans make mistakes,” she explained.
