Pearl Bank supports Ngomanungi School classroom construction

Pearl Bank has contributed sh5m towards the construction of a classroom block at Ngomanungi Senior Secondary School in Sheema District, as part of its corporate social investment (CSI) programme.
The support is aimed at improving the school's learning environment and expanding classroom capacity as the student population grows.
Ngomanungi Senior Secondary School is a community-driven, non-profit institution founded by St Andrew’s Ngoma Church of Uganda. The school serves the surrounding community but faces infrastructure challenges.
“By supporting the construction of this classroom block at Ngomanungi Senior Secondary School, we are investing directly in the future of young Ugandans in the communities we serve,” Mujuni said.
He said the initiative reflected the bank's commitment to supporting communities and contributing to Uganda's development, particularly through education.
The school board chairman, Rev Perez Byaruhanga, welcomed the contribution, saying the new classroom block would improve learning conditions for current and future students.
Pearl Bank said education is one of its CSI priorities, alongside health, environmental conservation, humanitarian support and financial literacy.
The bank said its community initiatives are intended to create sustainable impact while supporting its broader purpose of fostering prosperity for Ugandans.
Earlier this year, Pearl Bank supported the Islamic University in Uganda with water tanks to improve access to clean water. It also donated food items during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Ngomanungi intervention adds to the bank's education-focused community investments as schools across the country seek support to address infrastructure gaps and accommodate growing enrolment.
