Jackson Lee Atima (NRM), Khemis Muzhaid (FDC), Kassiano Wadri (ANT) and Ronald Debo (independent) were nominated for Arua Central Division.

The Woman MP race saw the nomination of three independent candidates: Sandra Ewachabo, Daphine Draza, and Sheilah Obia.

In Ayivu East Division, the Electoral Commission cleared William Odaa Tiyo (NRM), Geoffrey Anguyo (FDC) and Geoffrey Feta (independent).

Phiona Onzima (NRM), Afayoa Christopher (DP) and John Lematia (independent) got the nod for the Ayivu West Division race.

After being nominated, Arua Central Division incumbent Atima pledged to continue building on his leadership record of unity and transformation.

His challenger, FDC's Muzhaid, said his nomination was "the beginning of a journey to success", also voicing his determination to serve the constituents with integrity and focus.

Debo, who was the first to be nominated on the first of two days of parliamentary nominations, said he would prioritise addressing the challenge of youth unemployment in the city.

On his part, returning officer Ezale said the exercise was peaceful and successful.

He urged candidates to conduct peaceful campaigns and focus on voter education, also cautioning them against violating Electoral Commission guidelines.

“I encourage all candidates to educate their supporters about the electoral process and adhere to the campaign rules,” he said.
