The second round of the 2025–2026 Uganda National Volleyball League will start on Saturday 31st, with two busy days at Nsambya and Nkumba University.
The league resumes with a full programme of matches across both the men’s and women’s competitions in Serie A and Serie B.
KCB Nkumba Women enter the second round in strong form after finishing the first round unbeaten. They won all nine matches and collected 25 points, placing them second on the table. They are level on points with leaders Sport-S but trail slightly due to game difference.
KCB Nkumba will play Kampala Capital City Authority Volleyball Club Women on Saturday before taking on Volleyball Victoria Club on Sunday.
Head coach Tony Lakony says the team is focused on improving performance and maintaining consistency as the season progresses.
“We are working hard to become better, more stable and consistent as a team,” Lakony said.
“We look forward to picking those points by staying focused, training well, trusting our system, and giving our best effort in every difficult match.”
KCB Nkumba were runners-up last season after losing to Sport-S Ladies in the playoff finals that concluded last year in May. The target this season remains qualification for the playoffs.
“Our big goal is to reach the playoffs and win the league. We must train well and play well in this second round,” Lakony explained.
The women’s Serie A matches on Saturday at Nsambya will see other games where Volleyball Victoria Club will face UCU, UPDF will meet Nemo, KAVC will take on Sport-S, and KU will play Seroma
In the men’s Serie A at Nsambya, Police will face Sky, Tigers will meet Sport-S, KU will play Nemo, KCCA will take on Elyon, and UCU will play KAVC.

Serie B games for women and men will take place at Nkumba University with several teams at the court, including COBAP, Mutungo, Kinaawa, Gulu City, Elites, and Wazeei.
