The 20th edition of the Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) Games burst into life today at Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono, with a dazzling opening ceremony that set the perfect tone for a week of sporting excellence.
The event was marked by breathtaking performances, blending music, dance, and cultural displays that thrilled the packed arena and showcased the vibrancy of university sports in Uganda.


The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Sammy Odong, Assistant Commissioner for Physical Education and Sports, Joseph Oluga, Assistant General Secretary of the National Council of Sports, and Dr. David Mugawe, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UCU. Their presence underscored the importance of the AUUS Games in promoting talent, discipline, and unity among Uganda’s universities.



With the spotlight now firmly on the athletes, the stage is set for fierce competition across multiple disciplines as universities battle for glory in this landmark 20th edition.
