Olila Women’s Football Club are determined to bounce back from last season’s disappointing run as the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League resumes on February 21, 2026.

The Soroti City-based side, which finished the first round in the relegation zone with just five points, is embarking on a new strategy to spark a turnaround in the second round.

Head coach Ronie Eletu told Vision Sport that the club has strengthened its squad ahead of the restart. “The club has hired four players from Lira City Women’s Football Club who will help us in defense and attack,” Eletu revealed.

He attributed the team’s struggles in the first round to the departure of several senior players who joined other national league clubs, including She Corporates, Lady Dove, and She Makerere. “We did not play well against Kawempe Muslim and deserved to lose those three points,” Eletu admitted.

Eletu, who took charge of Olila FC last season after Cifu Pande resigned in August 2024, warned that repeating the same mistakes could spell serious trouble for the club.

Team captain Mary Lotyang Elganda described the poor first-round performance as an eye-opener for the squad. “We will continue working together as a team and are ready to overcome any opponent we face,” she said.

Olila WFC will begin their second-round campaign against Makerere University Women’s Football Club at Olila High School Grounds on February 21.
