Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has announced the appointment of Jackson Magera Kaddu and Brian Ssenyondo as co-coaches for the senior men’s team.

They’re stepping in right away, and the club is feeling positive about their experience helping the team get back on track.

"Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club announces Mr. Jackson Magera Kaddu and Mr. as Co-coaches for the senior men’s team, effective immediately," a statement from the club said.

Jackson Magera knows KCCA FC well. He’s worked in different roles within the club and has built strong relationships with players and management.

He has  led the KCCA Soccer Academy, served as Senior Assistant Coach, and even filled in as interim head coach when needed.

He has also made contributions to Uganda’s national youth teams, coaching both the U-15 and U-17 squads.Brian Ssenyondo

“His solid understanding of KCCA FC and his work with youth players make him a key part of our technical team,” the club mentioned.

Brian Ssenyondo is joining Magera and is recognised for his coaching success both locally and internationally.

He recently led Kitara FC to victory in the 2024 Stanbic Uganda Cup and helped the Uganda Cubs qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, a huge milestone.

"Joining him is Brian Ssenyondo, who brings a strong track record. His new ideas should complement Magera’s understanding of KCCA FC,” the club noted

Ssenyondo’s role is seen as a way to bring fresh energy into the team as they look to bounce back from a tough last season.

His focus on player development and flexible tactics should work well with Magera’s knowledge of the club and its players.

Having two co-coaches is pretty rare in Ugandan football, but KCCA FC thinks it’s the right move.

With 13 Uganda Premier League titles under their belt, they’re eager to regain their top spot and do well in continental competitions.

“KCCA FC looks forward to a successful time with Co-coaches Magera and Ssenyondo and wishes them the best," statement ends.

The new coaching team is set to get started right away, with pre-season training starting soon. Their goal will be to build a strong squad ready to compete for major trophies in the 2025/26 season.
