Kampala City Beach Soccer Club interim coach Rogers Omedwa has rallied his squad to maintain their momentum ahead of a high-stakes FUFA Beach Soccer League clash against title rivals St Lawrence University.
The two sides will face off this Sunday at the Bamboo Gardens Beach Soccer Ground in Kasanje.
Omedwa, who stepped in for head coach Ivan Kulika, currently pursuing studies in Qatar—faces a tough challenge against the six-time league champions, whom Kampala City dethroned last season.
“We’re in great spirits with no injury concerns heading into the match,” said Omedwa. “This game will be a true test of our strength against a team with a rich championship pedigree.”
Sunday’s fixture marks day two of the league, following Kampala City’s emphatic 7–2 victory over Buganda Royal on opening day two weeks ago.
St Lawrence University head coach Peter Sseguya expressed confidence in his team’s readiness, emphasizing their determination to avenge last season’s double defeat to Kampala City.
