NUP leaders, MP Nsibambi class over foreign funding

“I have evidence and I can say it here; it has been ongoing and not just recently. Basically, opposition parties have been getting funding from abroad. It’s not just confined to NUP. In Uganda, people are supposed to fund parties, but incidentally, they expect the parties to fund them, and parties have activities that are genuine and others that are clandestine,” Nsibambi said.

The NUP national treasurer, Benjamin Katana, dismissed Nsibambi’s claims, saying the allegations were ridiculous.On his part, Nsibambi insisted that he has evidence, adding that he is willing to table it.
