🔊 Minister Anywar retains Kitgum Municipality MP party flag

She garnered 3730 votes, beating Henry Kissinger Oryem, with 363 votes, and George William Otim with 29 votes.

The Minister of State for Water and Environment, Beatrice Atim Anywar, has been declared the winner in the race for the Kitgum Municipality MP party flag.

She garnered 3730 votes, beating Henry Kissinger Oryem, with 363 votes, and George William Otim with 29 votes.

Anywar, was declared the winner in the race by Cyrus Odongkene, NRM party Registrar for Kitgum District, and the party Administrator, Innocent Geoffrey Nyeko.



Shortly after she was announced the winner, Atim commended her supporters for entrusting her with the party flag and asked them to continue with the support even in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.

Anywar was defeated in the 2021 general elections in the Kitgum Municipality race by the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party’s Denis Onekalit Amere.
