President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has advised the people of Bunyoro not to put all their hope in the oil discovered in the region, but rather to embrace the four-acre model to improve their household income.
He made the call during his presidential campaign held at Masindi Golf Course Ground on Wednesday, November 10, 2025.
Museveni advised residents to plant food crops, feeds and also rare animals on a four-acre model farm to improve their income, citing the Minister of State for Transport Fred Byamukama.
Museveni also stated that development is for everyone, but household income is for an individual, stressing that they aim to improve household income and spur development.
Prime Minister Robbina Nabbanja rallied the NRM supporters to vote for the president and campaign for him so that the president can win the forthcoming elections.
Kenneth Kiiza Nyendwoha, the MP for Bujenje County and NRM flag bearer, said there is a reason to protect the gains, including the construction of Masindi Hospital, the construction of roads, among others.
Rogers Byamukama, the Masindi Municipality MP NRM flagbearer, said they are protecting the NRM gains, citing the 2027 AFCON tournaments in the region, good infrastructure, including roads, peace, and industrialisation, among others.
The President had the same day held his campaign rally in Kiryandongo district and would on Thursday, December 11, 2025, hold his campaign rallies in Buliisa district, Hoima City and Hoima district.
