Nantongo expressed concern that many legislators lack basic understanding of the policies they are meant to debate and pass, a gap that ultimately harms the public.
Nantogo proposed that future candidates for Parliament be required to have at least a degree in public policy, law or related fields so as to enhance critical thinking and improve legislative effectiveness.
