Why govt stopped land registrars from issuing leasehold titles

“Consequently, this is to advise Uganda Land Commission that any lease agreement or contract entered into by government without the approval of the Attorney General is null and void. Therefore, you are required to submit the same for the Attorney General’s advice as required by law,” Kiryowa said.

Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka further stated that any transaction not backed by his approval shall be considered null and void.
