UPDF will not accept disruptions during the 2026 general election — Gen. Muhoozi

“The vote counting and tallying process will be transparent and done in the open. Each candidate’s polling agent will be present, and these include presidential, directly elected Members of Parliament, and woman MPs on January 15, 2026. Local and international election observers will also be present and the media. There is no need for people to hang around saying they are protecting votes.”

Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is also the senior presidential advisor for special operations, asked political actors to abide by the Electoral Commission guidelines and to cooperate fully with security forces.
