SFC soldier shoots city bar cleaner dead

In 2009, a soldier, Pte Julius Mucunguzi, opened fire on patrons at the same establishment, killing eight people after reportedly losing his phone and money to a prostitute.

In January 2021, Johnson Rukundo, a bouncer at the same bar, was shot dead, while Enid Nyangoma, Julius Odeke, Moses Ssali, Saniya Ndagire, Francisca Nakazzi, Daniel Owori, and Alice Kobusingye survived but with injuries.
