MPIGI - Mpigi LC5 chairperson Martin Ssejjemba has been arrested alongside district service commission members Fredrick Kirumira (chairperson) and Sarah Nakamoga (secretary) over bribery solicitation allegations.

The State House Anti-Corruption Unit in a social media post on June 27, 2025, said it co-ordinated with the Police to arrest the suspects accused of solicitation bribes in exchange for jobs within the district.

Their arrest, according to the unit, follows a directive from President Yoweri Museveni during his Parish Development Model (PDM) programme monitoring tour in the Greater Mpigi area on June 17, 2025. This was after he received complaints from local journalists regarding widespread corruption in the Mpigi district recruitment process.

The suspects will soon be arraigned in courts of law.
