KAMPALA - Prominent Masaka City tycoon and businessman Bosco Bitanda and his two children died on Monday (March 16), following a single-vehicle crash along the Mpala section of the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway.
A fourth victim, a woman, was rushed to hospital with severe injuries, according to Egis Road Operation, the contracted firm responsible for operating and maintaining the 26.2km Kampala-Entebbe Expressway.
In a statement released on Monday, Egis said, “earlier today, a single-vehicle crash occurred along the Mpala section of the Expressway.
The vehicle was travelling from Masaka towards the Airport when the driver reportedly dozed off due to fatigue after a long-distance journey. Tragically, three occupants lost their lives, while one sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.”
