According to recent reports from the High Commission of India in Kampala, the New Delhi government and Uganda share a strong and multifaceted military relationship, primarily focused on training and capacity building within the Ugandan armed forces. India provides training courses for Ugandan defence personnel, including the Indian Army Training Team based at the Senior Command and Staff College (SCSC) in Kimaka in Jinja.
As the outgoing Indian team, which has prepared to depart, a new IMATT group is set to assume duties, ensuring the continuity of this partnership, the CDF's office announced.
