Brain tumours in children worry medics

“We now use tracers that move through the body, allowing our cameras to identify exactly where the disease is. In some cases, the same technology can also deliver treatment directly to where the cancer is,” Ddungu said.

During the meeting, Angom said the new specialised paediatric brain tumour service centre at UCI has reduced mortality rates among child patients by over 90%.
