In the close-knit town of Arua, Uganda, a young artist is making waves with a sound that blends heritage and innovation. Alak SG, also known as The Golden Boy from Arua, was born and raised in this vibrant community.

Since launching his music career in 2021, shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic, he has begun to carve out a unique space in Uganda’s music landscape.

Alak SG’s music stands out for its fusion of traditional Acholi rhythms with contemporary Afro-pop and Hip-Hop, creating a refreshing and culturally rooted sound. Influenced by Ugandan music legends such as Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone, Bobi Wine, and Jackie Chandiru, as well as the storytelling traditions passed down from his grandfather, Alak brings authenticity and purpose to his craft.

Currently signed to Takumi Masters Record Label, Alak SG has released four songs, each inspired by his personal experiences and the stories of his community.
