Inside govt's plan to scrap S1, S5 admissions

According to the draft National Curriculum, Assessment and Placement Policy developed by the education ministry, schools will be required to admit a balanced mix of learners across all performance levels, rather than selecting only the top performers. 

A senior government official involved in developing the new policy said the current selection system is “unrealistic” and detrimental to the country’s education goals.
