Stanbic Bank announces winners of Kya Double with SupaDupa

“I have seen others win in different campaigns, but I never believed it was real. Today, I see it is true, and it could not have come at a better time, as I was struggling to pay my child's school fees. Stanbic has truly answered my prayer,” she said.

Stanbic Bank has revealed the first batch of winners in its Kya Double with SupaDupa campaign, rewarding active customers with cash prizes as part of its ongoing effort to encourage regular banking transactions.

Among the lucky winners is Annet Mbabazi Akugizibwe, who took home a cheque for sh1.2m. Overwhelmed with gratitude, she shared how the win came at the perfect time.

“I have seen others win in different campaigns, but I never believed it was real. Today, I see it is true, and it could not have come at a better time, as I was struggling to pay my child's school fees. Stanbic has truly answered my prayer,” she said.

Launched in June and running through December, the campaign offers a total prize pool of sh.100m to be shared among active account holders who regularly deposit and transact on Stanbic Bank platforms.

Sarah Nankumba, Stanbic Acacia branch manager, highlighted the campaign’s alignment with the bank’s mission.

“Uganda is our home, and our growth is driven by supporting our people. We have already rewarded nearly sh.25m and continue to reward more customers who actively use their accounts.”

Nankumba encouraged Ugandans to join the campaign by transacting regularly and assured them that opening an account is now simpler, fully digital and requiring no branch visits.

“Prospective customers can download our mobile app, scan the QR code on our website or dial *290# to open an account at no cost. The process is quick, requires only a National Identity Card and takes less than five minutes,” she said.

Israel Arinaitwe, Head of Personal Banking at Stanbic Bank, explained that the campaign was designed based on extensive customer feedback, emphasising the need for convenient, rewarding banking solutions.

“The Kya Double with SupaDupa campaign eliminates traditional barriers like queues and paperwork. Customers can open accounts digitally via the Stanbic app or mobile banking platforms and start transacting instantly, whether sending, receiving or depositing money,” Arinaitwe said.

He also announced exciting enhancements to the bank’s credit offerings, including instant loans of up to sh.5m available anytime. Additionally, eligible customers can apply for digital loans up to sh.250m with approval in as little as two minutes.

The Kya Double with SupaDupa campaign is a clear demonstration of Stanbic Bank’s commitment to empowering Ugandans through accessible modern banking and rewarding loyalty.
