Govt asked to give more priority to the fisheries sector

According to the fact sheet, fish catches in Uganda increased from 307,149 metric tonnes in the financial year 2018/19 to 606,220 metric tonnes in 2020, with fish exports increasing from 14,894 to 37,048 metric tonnes valued at $227 million (about sh838.8 billion).
